"Being Gay Is In The DNA" in all caps in colored rows connected to a double helix over a black background.

Global Issue Poster

Situation

I was assigned to design a poster expressing my views on a significant global issue. I chose to address intolerance toward the LGBTQIA+ community.

Task

My objective was to create a compelling visual that promotes acceptance and tolerance, conveying that being LGBTQIA+ is inherent and not a choice.

Action

I designed a poster featuring the phrase "Being Gay Is In The DNA" integrated into the rungs of a double helix. Each rung was colored to represent the LGBTQIA+ pride flag, symbolizing the natural and intrinsic nature of LGBTQIA+ identities.

Result

The poster serves a dual purpose: it encourages LGBTQIA+ individuals to embrace their authentic selves and communicates to others that LGBTQIA+ identities are innate, advocating for acceptance and tolerance.
