Art Mart App
Situation
As part of the Google UX Design Professional Certificate program, I was tasked with completing a portfolio project. The project required designing an app, and I selected the prompt “Design an art auction app for an art gallery.”
Task
The goal was to create a functional and user-friendly digital experience that facilitated art auctions, addressing user needs and improving the bidding process through UX research and iterative design.
Action
I followed a structured UX design process:
Conducted user research to understand needs and pain points.
Developed a user persona and journey map to guide design decisions.
Created paper wireframes, then translated them into digital wireframes.
Built a low-fidelity prototype and conducted a usability study.
Analyzed usability study results and iterated on the design.
Developed mockups, which evolved into high-fidelity prototypes.
Result
The final high-fidelity prototype incorporated usability study findings, leading to a more intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly art auction experience. The project strengthened my UX design skills and added a comprehensive case study to my portfolio.
